Battery Maintenance

Advanced Battery Care offer two levels of maintenance; “Standard” or our unique “Premium” regime.

We have been offering our standard maintenance regime for many years; using the best technologies available this is equivalent to, and in most cases better than, the regimes offered by our competitors.

In summary engineers visit site, usually every six months, carefully test each battery cell or monobloc and then provide a report on battery condition. When faulty cells are discovered the report recommends action to be taken.

This type of maintenance has limits however, in that it is not preventive. It reports defects in the system that have occurred between visits which implies that during that time the integrity of the system has been compromised to some extent. Battery parameters are not recorded frequently enough to allow trends to be monitored.

Utilising the latest improved technologies our premium maintenance scheme is more expensive; usually 20 to 50% more over the life of the battery; however it is preventive, reporting failing cells before they compromise system integrity and it also has other significant advantages.

It is said that over 80% of UPS failures are due to battery faults. If your prime concern is to avoid costly and embarrassing computer downtime a review of the maintenance regime being used for battery systems in your care may be advisable. If it matches our standard regime we would be delighted to give a competitive quotation and an upgrade to our premium scheme may also be worth considering.

Battery Maintenance

Our services are available to all users of VRLA standby battery systems, in any industry, including end users, UPS manufacturers, battery manufactures and telecommunications companies.

The prices of our maintenance contracts varies with many factors including the number of cells to be tested and whether it will be in normal working hours or outside, including weekends and night work.

Please contact us by phone on 01672 520572 or from the “Contact Us” page. We will be pleased to discuss your individual requirements to produce a Maintenance package to suit your needs.
